No. Clear small items, art and anything fragile from the rooms, and we handle the rest. We move large pieces to the center, cover them with plastic and put drop cloths over the floors. If a piano, a heavy cabinet or anything of special value needs to stay put, tell us at the estimate and we will plan around it.
Yes. Stained or varnished trim needs cleaning, a scuff sand and a bonding primer before the white goes on, or the paint can peel and the wood tannins can bleed through as yellow spots. Some oak and cherry need a second primer coat. It is more prep than repainting trim that is already white, and the estimate shows it as its own line.
Yes. We talk through colors at the estimate and can bring Sherwin-Williams samples. Test swatches on two or three walls and look at them morning and evening, since north-facing rooms read cooler and west-facing rooms warmer. Final choices are yours. We only ask that they are settled before the start date so the schedule holds.
