Our Columbia work covers downtown and the courthouse square, the historic streets around West Seventh, the neighborhoods along Trotwood Avenue and Hampshire Pike, and newer subdivisions off Bear Creek Pike and Nashville Highway. The Duck River curves around the city, and homes on low or wooded lots near it see more mildew and slower drying. We wash those walls well and wait for dry weather before painting.
For downtown storefronts and offices, we can work early or after closing so the business stays open. If your building is in a historic district, check with the city about any exterior review before choosing colors, and we will provide the product details they may want. Upper-floor apartments over storefronts can be painted the same visit.
Quality craftsmanship you can see
Columbia is the Maury County seat and only about 11 miles south of our Spring Hill shop. PaintPro paints houses, cabinets, brick, decks, fences and commercial buildings across the city, from the courthouse square to the newer subdivisions north of town. Estimates are free, we are licensed and insured, and each job carries a written 2-year warranty.
Columbia's older streets hold a lot of history. Near downtown and along West Seventh Street you will find antebellum and Victorian homes, and the James K. Polk Home is a short walk from the square. Houses like these often carry many layers of paint, uneven wood siding and original windows. We take them back to sound paint, prime bare wood, and use flexible caulk and quality exterior paint that moves with old boards. Homes built before 1978 may have lead paint, so ask about testing first.
Midcentury brick ranches are common in the established neighborhoods off Trotwood Avenue and Hampshire Pike. Their brick is solid, but painted carports, metal porch posts, and wood soffits and fascia often show peeling and rust. We wire-brush metal, coat it with a rust-inhibiting primer and repaint. Many owners also choose to paint the whole brick exterior a lighter color, and we use a breathable masonry coating for that.
Newer growth runs north along Nashville Highway toward Spring Hill and out Bear Creek Pike, with builder homes now due for a real repaint inside and out. We schedule square-area jobs around Mule Day each spring, when crowds and closed streets make access hard, and around the hours of shops that share walls downtown. Financing through Wisetack or Acorn is available, subject to approval, for larger projects.

We couldn’t be happier with the incredible job Lupe did on our paint project that included 20ft ceilings. From the beginning, the staff was very easy to work with and was very communicative. When painting began, Lupe arrived on time, was efficient, and was a pleasure to have around. Lupe kept everything clean and organized. The finished result looks amazing. We appreciate all of Lupe’s hard work and respect that he showed our home. We highly recommend PaintPro, and especially Lupe when someone is looking for a talented painter.

We were looking for a company to repaint the outside of our home. Paint Pro did an excellent job. Thomas and James couldn’t be more accommodating. Their crew did an excellent prep, paint and cleanup. We are very happy with the end result and highly recommend. Thank you.

Yes. Older Columbia homes need patient prep: scraping failed paint, sanding edges, repairing or replacing rotted wood, priming bare spots and caulking with a flexible product. We walk the house with you, explain what we see and put the prep plan in your free written estimate. Ask about lead testing for homes built before 1978.
Metal posts, railings and carport supports are common on Columbia ranches. We remove loose rust and paint with wire brushes or sanding, wipe the metal clean, and apply a rust-inhibiting primer before the finish coats. Skipping that primer is why rust bleeds back through so many quick repaints.
Mule Day each spring brings big crowds, parades and street closures downtown, so we avoid exterior work right around the square that week. Other festivals and events can tighten parking too. We check the city calendar when we schedule and plan deliveries for quieter hours.
Yes. Painting older brick is a popular way to brighten a midcentury ranch. We clean the brick, let it dry, address loose mortar, and use a breathable masonry coating so moisture can still escape. Because painted brick is a long-term choice, we test your colors on the wall before committing.
About 11 miles from our shop in Spring Hill, a straight run down US 31. That short drive makes estimates, color checks and warranty touch-ups easy to schedule. We serve all of Columbia and the surrounding parts of Maury County.
