Main Street and Vietnam Veterans Boulevard carry most of the city's traffic, and both get heavy at rush hour with commuters heading to and from Nashville. Indian Lake Boulevard near the Streets of Indian Lake fills up on weekends. We start early on long exterior days to avoid the afternoon slowdown.
Many lake lots sit at the end of narrow, sloped driveways with the main living area facing the water. We look at access during the estimate: where ladders can stand on a slope, whether a lift can reach the back, and where we can park without blocking neighbors. In gated or HOA communities, check color rules and contractor hours with the association before we start.

Hendersonville wraps around the coves of Old Hickory Lake, and that water shapes how paint ages here. Lake-facing walls, decks and railings take on moisture and mildew faster than the street side. PaintPro paints interiors and exteriors and stains decks across Sumner County, about 42 miles from our Spring Hill base, with free estimates and a written 2-year warranty.
Close to the lake, damp mornings and shade from mature trees keep wood siding and trim wet longer. We see mildew streaks on north and lake-facing walls, peeling on window sills and deck rails, and gray, weathered stain on boat-dock stairs and lower decks. Prep starts with a mildew wash and a full dry-out. Rotted boards get replaced, bare wood gets primed, and we use Sherwin-Williams exterior coatings suited to high humidity. On decks we pick a penetrating stain that soaks in rather than a film that peels.
Away from the water, Hendersonville has a lot of 1970s and 1980s brick ranches and split-levels off Saundersville Road, Walton Ferry Road and New Shackle Island Road, plus newer subdivisions further out. On the older houses, the brick is usually fine and the wood is the problem: fascia, soffits, shutters and front doors. Some owners decide to paint the brick itself for a lighter, cleaner look, which we do with a breathable masonry coating after cleaning and repointing checks.
Interior work here often comes with a remodel. Owners of older split-levels open up kitchens, replace dark paneling and want walls and trim updated in one pass. We patch, sand, prime stained areas and paint ceilings, walls, trim and doors in sequence so rooms go back into use quickly. Cabinet refinishing is a common add-on for kitchens that are solid but dated. Lakefront homes and golf course houses, such as those around Bluegrass, often need taller ladders or a lift for upper gables and rear elevations.

We couldn’t be happier with the incredible job Lupe did on our paint project that included 20ft ceilings. From the beginning, the staff was very easy to work with and was very communicative. When painting began, Lupe arrived on time, was efficient, and was a pleasure to have around. Lupe kept everything clean and organized. The finished result looks amazing. We appreciate all of Lupe’s hard work and respect that he showed our home. We highly recommend PaintPro, and especially Lupe when someone is looking for a talented painter.

We were looking for a company to repaint the outside of our home. Paint Pro did an excellent job. Thomas and James couldn’t be more accommodating. Their crew did an excellent prep, paint and cleanup. We are very happy with the end result and highly recommend. Thank you.

I highly recommend Paint Pro! We could not be happier with the work they did on our kitchen cabinets. The transformation honestly exceeded our expectations. The cabinets look absolutely beautiful, and it feels like we have a brand-new kitchen. The woman who completed the work in our home did a phenomenal job. She was professional, meticulous, and clearly took pride in her work. What impressed us even more was her attention to detail after the main job was finished. She made sure the little touch-ups were addressed and that everything looked right before the project was truly complete. We had previously received a quote of around $40,000 from another company for a kitchen renovation, so we were looking for a more reasonable way to update the space. Paint Pro came in at a fraction of that cost and gave us a result that looks better than we could have imagined. From the quality of the workmanship to the final appearance of our cabinets, we genuinely could not have asked for a better experience. Our kitchen has been completely transformed. We would absolutely use Paint Pro again and highly recommend them to anyone considering having their cabinets refinished or painted.

Old Hickory Lake keeps the air damp, and shade from trees slows drying after dew and rain. Mildew feeds on dirt and pollen on the paint surface. We wash with a mildewcide, rinse and let the siding dry fully before priming. Using a paint formulated to resist mildew and trimming back branches that touch the house helps the new finish stay clean longer.
We stain wood decks, railings, stairs and fences on lake properties. The wood has to be cleaned, dried and lightly sanded where the old stain is flaking. We use penetrating stains that hold up to humidity and sun. For anything sitting over or in the water, ask during the estimate so we can look at access and confirm what we can safely reach.
Yes. Painting brick is one of PaintPro's services. We check the mortar, clean the brick, let it dry and apply a breathable masonry primer and finish so moisture can still escape the wall. Painted brick is hard to reverse, so we bring samples and suggest you live with them for a few days before committing to a color.
About 42 miles. PaintPro is based in Spring Hill, and we serve Hendersonville and the rest of the Old Hickory Lake area. Free estimates are done in person so we can see the surfaces, the slope of the lot and how a crew will reach the lake side. Request a visit through the contact form and we will set a time.
PaintPro offers financing through Wisetack and Acorn, subject to approval. Homeowners use it for full exterior repaints on larger lake houses, combined interior and cabinet projects, or brick painting. We can explain the options at your free estimate, and you can apply before scheduling so the decision is made before the crew arrives.
