Hillsboro Pike runs down the middle of Green Hills, with Woodmont Boulevard and Hobbs Road crossing it east to west and Forest Hills beginning to the south. Glendale and the streets around Lipscomb University sit along the eastern side. House age, lot size and HOA rules change from one pocket to the next, so we look at each home on its own before writing an estimate.
Local experts delivering lasting color and craftsmanship
Green Hills is a Nashville neighborhood about four miles south of downtown, built around Hillsboro Pike and the Mall at Green Hills. Its streets mix brick cottages and ranches from the 1930s through the 1960s with large new houses built in the past twenty years. We paint both kinds, driving up about 25 miles from our Spring Hill base.
Teardowns have reshaped much of Green Hills, so one block can hold a 1950s brick ranch next to a new two-story with board-and-batten siding, painted brick and black windows. The newer houses often come with factory-primed fiber cement and builder paint that looks fine for a few years, then shows chalking, open caulk joints and faded trim on the south and west sides. Older cottages need different work: scraping alligatored trim, dealing with cracked window glazing, and priming bare wood before any color goes on.
Interiors make up a large share of Green Hills work. Owners of new builds often want flat builder-grade wall paint replaced with a finish that wipes clean, especially in kitchens, halls and kids' rooms. Owners of older homes want plaster walls, picture molding and built-ins kept crisp without filling every detail with paint. We protect floors and furniture, patch and sand, and match sheen to how each room gets used. Kitchen cabinets in 1990s and 2000s homes are frequent requests too, since the wood is solid but the finish has yellowed.
Getting a crew in and out takes planning. Hillsboro Pike near the mall is busy most of the day, and Abbott Martin Road and Hobbs Road back up at rush hour, so we start early and keep work vehicles in your driveway when there is room. Many lots are narrow with neighbors close on both sides, which means ladders and drop cloths have to be staged carefully. If you live in a townhome or condo community, check with your HOA about colors and work hours before the start date.

We couldn’t be happier with the incredible job Lupe did on our paint project that included 20ft ceilings. From the beginning, the staff was very easy to work with and was very communicative. When painting began, Lupe arrived on time, was efficient, and was a pleasure to have around. Lupe kept everything clean and organized. The finished result looks amazing. We appreciate all of Lupe’s hard work and respect that he showed our home. We highly recommend PaintPro, and especially Lupe when someone is looking for a talented painter.

We were looking for a company to repaint the outside of our home. Paint Pro did an excellent job. Thomas and James couldn’t be more accommodating. Their crew did an excellent prep, paint and cleanup. We are very happy with the end result and highly recommend. Thank you.

I highly recommend Paint Pro! We could not be happier with the work they did on our kitchen cabinets. The transformation honestly exceeded our expectations. The cabinets look absolutely beautiful, and it feels like we have a brand-new kitchen. The woman who completed the work in our home did a phenomenal job. She was professional, meticulous, and clearly took pride in her work. What impressed us even more was her attention to detail after the main job was finished. She made sure the little touch-ups were addressed and that everything looked right before the project was truly complete. We had previously received a quote of around $40,000 from another company for a kitchen renovation, so we were looking for a more reasonable way to update the space. Paint Pro came in at a fraction of that cost and gave us a result that looks better than we could have imagined. From the quality of the workmanship to the final appearance of our cabinets, we genuinely could not have asked for a better experience. Our kitchen has been completely transformed. We would absolutely use Paint Pro again and highly recommend them to anyone considering having their cabinets refinished or painted.

No. Green Hills is a neighborhood inside Nashville and falls under Metro Nashville and Davidson County. Its neighbor to the south, Forest Hills, is a separate small city. For most paint jobs that difference does not matter, but if you are changing materials or your home is in an HOA, check with Metro or your association first.
It is common. Builder paint on fiber cement and trim is often a single thin coat, and Middle Tennessee sun wears it down fast on south and west walls. We clean the siding, recaulk open joints, spot-prime where needed and apply two coats of Sherwin-Williams exterior paint. That gives the house a much thicker, more even film.
Yes, and most Green Hills interior jobs happen that way. We work room by room, cover floors and furniture, and keep a clear path through the house each evening. We will talk about which rooms you need back first, such as a kitchen or home office, and plan the order around your week.
We look at access during the free estimate. If a ladder or sprayer would reach toward a neighbor's driveway, fence or windows, we plan to brush and roll that side instead and let you know ahead of time so you can give the neighbor a heads-up. Overspray and dropped debris on someone else's property are things we work hard to avoid.
Yes. Cabinet painting is one of our regular services, and many Green Hills kitchens have solid wood boxes worth keeping. We remove doors, degrease, sand, prime and spray or brush the finish coats, then rehang everything. Our cabinet refinishing page explains the steps in more detail.
