We paint across Davidson County. On the west side that means Sylvan Park and The Nations. Nashville packs a wide range of houses into a short drive. A 1920s bungalow in Sylvan Park can sit a few blocks from a three-story infill home wrapped in fiber cement. Older Nashville houses reward careful prep. Craftsman bungalows in Belmont-Hillsboro and Sylvan Park often carry decades of coats on wood lap siding, porch columns and beadboard porch ceilings. Newer infill is a different job. The tall homes in The Nations, 12 South and Germantown are mostly fiber cement with wide trim boards, deep soffits and gables two or three stories up, so ladder and lift access shapes the schedule. Siding that was only factory primed starts to chalk, and caulk at butt joints and window trim opens as the boards move. In Inglewood and Crieve Hall the typical house is a mid-century brick ranch where the brick is sound but the fascia, soffits and garage doors are peeling. If the house is in a historic overlay, check with the Metro Historic Zoning Commission before painting unpainted brick or changing trim details. We can walk the house with you and point out where the old paint is failing first.
Yes. Fiber cement takes paint well once it is cleaned and any chalky factory primer is dealt with. We wash the siding, recaulk open butt joints and trim seams with a paintable sealant, prime where the surface calls for it and apply two coats of exterior Sherwin-Williams paint. Tall elevations may need a lift, which we plan at the estimate.
Yes. For condos we work within the building's rules on elevator reservations, loading areas, quiet hours and where materials can be stored. Send us the management office contact and any contractor paperwork the building requires, and we will handle the insurance certificate. Townhome exteriors are usually controlled by the association, so check its approved colors before you choose.
